Defensive player Naldo leaves the Bundesliga after more than thirteen years. The Brazilian changes from FC Schalke 04 to AS Monaco with immediate effect. The royal flowers had extended the contract with the 36-year-old until 2020 last October.
“We did not find it easy to agree to this transfer, as Naldo had a large share of the successes of FC Schalke 04, especially those of last season”, Schalke s Sports Board Christian Heidel explained the transfer on the club page on Thursday.

The club agreed to the deal “because of these merits”, Naldo “wanted to change again in his active career”. Heidel underlined: “Naldo has been an asset to our club over the past two and a half years: Sporty as head of defense, team player and goalkeeper. As a great guy with a big heart, as it rarely happens, not only in football.”
Naldo gets a contract with AS Monaco up to 2020, according to media reports, the proceeds should be 1,2 million euros.
