BVB apparently saves payroll costs in millions

Borussia Dortmund emptied his cadre vigorously in January and immediately handed over five reservists. Although all professionals left the BVB only on a lease basis, the Bundesliga table leader apparently saves millions in salary costs.

As the “kicker” reports, the departures of Sebastian Rode (to Eintracht Frankfurt), Alexander Isak (Willem II), Dzenis Burnic (Dynamo Dresden), Shinji Kagawa (Besiktas) and Jeremy Toljan relieve (Celtic) the Dortmund personnel allowance for at least six million euros.

That the BVB simultaneously collected 64 million euros for the immediate sale of Christian Pulisic to the Chelsea FC and lent the American at the same time free of charge until the end of the season, In Dortmund’s view, the transfer period is extremely successful.

With Pulisic and including re-entry Leonardo Balerdi, there are now 25 instead of 30 professionals in the black team. For trainer Lucien Favre, this relaxes the work with the team, since all the players who were handed over no longer played any part under the Swiss team.
