Ex-World Champion: France Quartet can shape the Bavarian era

The French former world champion Christian Karembeu is convinced that his compatriots Benjamin Pavard, Corentin Tolisso, Kingsley Coman and Lucas Hernandez can celebrate great successes at FC Bavaria Munich.

“It is already a huge success for the Bavarians to have three world champions and to have Coman in their ranks”, Karembeu said in an interview published in the “Daily Mirror” and in the “Augsburg General”. The 48-year-old is an advisor to Olympiakos Piraeus, Munich’s champion league opponent.

The four French would find optimal conditions in Munich to improve themselves individually, Karembeu said. In this respect, I already believe that Munich is a suitable biotope that allows these players to shape an era, such as their predecessor Jean-Pierre Papin, which is the best way to make a difference. Bixente Lizarazu or Franck Ribbey did this.”

Karembeu, who was with Real Madrid under Coach Jupp Heyncke’s Champions League winner, also described the German record champion as an example for the Olympics.” This team is sensational. The generations of players come and go, but the dominance of the Bavarians remains. This is already remarkable. Moreover, the club is leading in terms of management, scouting and youth work in Europe and a great example for us,”said the former midfielder.
