In November 2019 Hansi Flick took over the coaching position at FC Bayern by Niko Kovac. Flick has not forgotten that the Croatian has laid the foundation stone for the championship and the DFB Cup.
“We have now completed what he wanted: to win the double,” said the 55-year-old coach in an interview with “Sport 1”.
Before the season it was finally Kovac, the Flick as co-coach brought to Munich. After the dismissal of today’s coach from AS Monaco, Flick took over the position of head coach in November and led FC Bayern to the double.
At his new club in France, Flick wishes his predecessor “only the best.
I appreciate Niko and Robert as people very much and am very grateful to Niko, that he took me to FC Bavaria and we worked together,”the 55-year-old stressed and added:”Sometimes things just turn out differently than you think.”
