On Saturday evening, in the Bundesliga football league, the follow-up duel between the fourth Borussia Munich League and the third Borussia Dortmund is on the agenda (from 18:30 o’clock). But the anticipated game was on its way to Wednesday morning.
The reason for this is the raging Corona virus, which is why many major events throughout the Federal Republic have been cancelled in the last few days.
As the “Rhine Post” said on Wednesday morning, it was not certain until last time whether this was the case. The Bundesliga top game between Gladbach and the BVB will take place.
The Ministry of Health itself is said to have encouraged a shift. There has already been a number of speculation as to whether the party could be held out to the public in order to minimise the risk of the SARS CoV-2 virus spreading.
NRW Health Minister Karl-Josef Laumann submitted the proposal to the associations on Tuesday. In the end, however, the local health office in Munich made the final decision, he said.
On Wednesday afternoon then the latest turn: The game can take place! In an official statement from Gladbacher Borussia, the club in person of President Rolf King thanked “for the constructive talks with Minister of the Interior Reul and Minister of Health Laumann, which enabled us to reach the end, to play our home game on Saturday”.

Exhibition as planned instead of ghost games or complete cancellation
More and more Corona cases have been registered in North Rhine-Westphalia in recent days. On Tuesday afternoon, the time was at 103-proven CoVid-19 cases in the largest German state. Especially in the Heinsberg district, the severe acute respiratory syndrome was detected in many people. Heinsberg is only about 30 kilometers away from Munich.
Borussia Munich adbach presented a special offer to stadium visitors from Heinsberg: “All ticket buyers from the district of Heinsberg who make use of this offer and return their card, Borussia Munich will refund the ticket price and invite them to the next Champions or Europa League home game at BORUSSIA PARK free of charge”, the association promised in its letter of Wednesday.
The BVB had already announced at the start of the week a precautionary measure of the other kind: The professionals of the black-yellow temporarily renounce autographs and “selfies” with fans in order to avoid direct contact.
