Trainer-Veteran Friedhelm Funkel from Fortuna Dusseldorf considers today’s soccer pro to be much more performance-oriented than previous years.
“They are much more serious with specifications, they prepare for individual training sessions. They live more professionally and feed much more conscientiously than my generation before,”said the 65-year-old coach of the”World on Sunday”.
Funkel himself was a pro at Bayer Uerdingen and the 1 in the 70s and 80s. FC Kaiserslautern and has been a trainer for almost three decades now.
