Leipzig delivers and plunges Bremen deeper into the crisis

RB Leipzig has delivered in the title race of the Bundesliga and is plunging Bremen even deeper into the crisis. At home, the Leipzigers stood up against desolate northern lights fully earned with 3:0 (2:0) and with 45 points at least for one day took over the top of the table again. FC Bavaria Munich (43) is free on Sunday 1st. FC Cologne (15:30 o’clock).

“We play our games. Whether we’re hunters or hunters now, I don’t know,”said Sports Director Markus Krusche at”Sky”:”The boys did well. It is important that we win these games and then we will see what the next few weeks bring.”

Before 41.308 spectators in the sold-out Leipzig arena Lukas Klostermann (18.), Patrik Schick (39.) and Northern Mukiele (46.) reached the gates for the superior Saxons. With the first victory after four mandatory games without threes, RB gained new self-confidence for the Champions League.

In the royal class Leipzig must compete on Wednesday (21:00 o’clock) in the eighth final at Tottenham Hotspur.

For Werder Bremen it looks very dark with still 17 points. The team of trainer Florian Kohfeldt delivered a playful revelation and collected the eighth defeat from the last nine league games. The debate about the dismissal of the popular coach is expected to gain momentum again.

Nagelsmann brings Olmo -Forsberg only to the bench

At Bremen Gebre Selassi moved to the right after surviving leg injury, Maximilian Eggestein and Davy Classes should shape from the six out of the game, but found no means. A long shot by Friedl (33.), who was close to the goal, was for a long time the only goal chance.

Leipzig’s coach Julian Nagelsmann let Spielmacher Emil Forsberg back on the bench, winter newcomer Dani Olmo got the advantage. The hosts played consistently over the wings, came quite simply into the back of the Bremer Trier chain and could have led significantly higher in the first half of the season.

For the gates, however, the hosts needed standard situations. After a free kick by Angelino, the strong shift extended to Lukas Klostermann, and the national player entered from a short distance. The 2:0 fell even simpler. After a corner, Schick at the five-metre room gained the necessary space with a bit of thrust and decapitated without hindrance.

Increasing speed, clear chances remain out

After half-time Leipzig continued to give the tone. A long ball of Konrad Laimer was enough to beat the Bremer defense again. Niklas Moisander appreciated himself, and the advanced Mukiele did not give Bremens Keeper Jiri Pavlenka a chance.
