Protest against bosses: ManUnited fans storm training place

In protest against club boss Joel Glazer and the plans to participate in the controversial Super League, Manchester United fans stormed the training grounds of the English record champion on Thursday morning.

On Transparents (“”We decide where you play”,””Out with the Glazers””), they aired their discontent, blocked the entrance and eventually posed on the lawn. There has been no contact with players.

Manchester United, since 2003 owned by the Glazer family, had first appeared last Monday as five other Premier League clubs (Manchester City, FC Liverpool, FC Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and FC Arsenal) joined the planned Super League in European football.

Two days later and after numerous protests all English clubs withdrew their readiness to participate again.
