Rummenigge “astonished” about Lewandowski statements

Healing the world at the German football record champion FC Bayern Munich after the 3:1 against 1899 Hoffenheim? Not quite. FCB boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has defended himself against criticism from Robert Lewandowski, who last spoke about his change of outlook, mentioning that he lacked back cover towards the end of last season.

“I am amazed at the statement, because I stood before him in March and called this discussion ridiculous,”Rummenigge said to”Eurosport”, when he fired on the words of the Bavarian attacker (“In April, May almost everyone shot at me. And I felt no protection from the association, I felt alone in the situation”) was addressed.

The Pole shoots 30-goals in the Bundesliga every season, Rummenigge continues:”I do not discuss him at all.”About the exchange views Lewandowski the chairman of the FC Bavaria said:”We have 30 goals in the Bundesliga every season, so Rummenigge continues: “I do not discuss him at all.” We know what kind of quality he has, and we know that. We said, no matter who comes, what’s offered, we don’t sell. How many middle storms of this quality does Europe offer?”

In addition, the 62-year-old criticized that the attacker forced a transfer through the newspapers with the help of his advisor. “I am in the office every day. Every player can come to me every day. This is not a problem,”said Rummenigge, adding,”But I always find it strange when it is reported through the media. The door is open, then he is in, and we will talk about the problem.”

“Do not exclude entries or exits”

Regardless of the Lewandowski case, the Bavarian boss said about possible changes before the end of the transfer period:”We are still dealing with one or two players. I do not exclude entrances or departures.”

He could not, however, mention an execution so far, even with Jerome Boateng, who was last repeatedly called a candidate for a transfer.” If Boateng were to leave us, we would have to discuss internally seriously internally whether we still have to do something or whether it could be managed differently,”Rummenigge explained.
