Instead of permanently shining as a player, Philippe Coutinho is only used sporadically at FC Bavaria Munich. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge therefore expresses reservations about the future of the Brazilian.
“We have a clause in the contract with Coutinho which we must draw up by the end of May. After the championship league match against Tottenham Hotspur at “Sky”.
Rummenigge, FC Bavaria’s chairman of the Board of Directors continued: “I think he is a great football player. He has to get used to German football and we have this patience with new entrances.”
In August Coutinho switched from FC Barcelona to the German record champion on loan. For this purpose, FC Bavaria transferred 8,5 million euros to the Catalans. Next summer, Munich will be able to commit 27-year-olds to around 120 million euros.
In the current season, the South American has so far completed 19 mandatory games for the FC Bavaria. But it was in the past few weeks that Coutinho often only joined the train as a Joker. In view of these statistics, continued employment after this period of play seems rather unlikely at the moment.
