VfB apparently finds investor – 50 million euro waving

The VfB Stuttgart seems to be in a hot cash flow. According to the information provided by Sky, the negotiations with the French marketer Lagardere are about to be concluded. The club will then sell shares of VfB-AG in the value of nearly fifty million euros to the company.

The money will be “invested in both the professional framework and the junior management center and, above all, in the infrastructure”. VfB President Wolfgang Dietrich had already announced 2017 to the kicker.

In the course of the divestment, the Stuttgarts had then sold shares for 41,5 million euros to Daimler AG as the so-called anchor investor. The search for a second donor had subsequently become difficult.

Lagardere is already well networked in Germany. In the Bundesliga, the French marketed Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt. Several large German sports associations also belong to the customers.
